When I look in the mirror, what do I see? Is that ‘me’ I’m looking at? People can manipulate their own perception of reality without knowing it. Is an onlooker able to see the real me? Can he identify with me, or am I a metaphor for his feelings? And how does this condition relate to me?
I am no enlightened star and far less a Messiah. But I am a myth in my own story. With my myth, I can experience power and fear. But mostly I will be a mirror, in the theatre of our daily lives. In many cases, I will elicit a response from the onlooker and incite him to interact. The user is responsible for his own reaction/interaction, as he is able to change contexts. My role is that of a mediator.
On show:

Medium 3.0
From July 1st till July 5th my continuous performance
medium 3.0 will take place at the graduation show at the Gerrit
Rietveld academie. It consists of an interaction between public space and the academy, with me being the mediator at a remote location. From the homebase of the performance situated at the Rietveld academie, you will be able to speak 'through' me.
A live video stream will show you the context of where I am at the moment you want to use me as your personal amplifier of real-time spoken messages. You can either intervene and possibly change that context or just arrange a complete alienation. In the process I will comment on your input. The performance is not about you controlling me, but you using me to control the context that I'm in.
